We keep this simple. We only ask for what we need to reply to you and build your site, and we look after it carefully.

Who we are

Western Web Designs is a web design business based in Ennis, Co. Clare. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@westernwebdesigns.ie.

What we collect

When you ask for a free preview or email us, we receive the details you choose to send, such as:

• your name and business name
• your email address or phone number
• your town
• anything you tell us about your business

Our preview form does not send anything to a server. It opens your own email app with your details filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send.

How we use it

• to reply to you and answer your questions
• to design your free preview and, if you go ahead, build and look after your website
• to send invoices and keep the records the law asks us to keep

We use your details because you asked us to get in touch and to take steps towards working together. We never sell your details or use them for anything else.

Cookies and tracking

This website is cookie free. We do not use advertising trackers. If we add visitor statistics, we will use a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies or identify you, and we will update this page.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted services to run the business:

• Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Our email provider stores the emails you send us.

Some of these services may store information outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they use the safeguards that EU data protection law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• If we do not end up working together, we delete your enquiry within 12 months.
• If you become a client, we keep your details while we work together, and keep invoices and business records for 6 years, as Irish tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• see the information we hold about you
• correct it
• delete it
• stop using it, or send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere

Just email hello@westernwebdesigns.ie and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Data Protection Commission atdataprotection.ie.

Example sites

The contact details on our example business sites, like Fern & Kettle and The Crooked Comb, are placeholders. Their addresses, phone numbers and email addresses do not belong to anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
